Government of India has enacted the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 to insure safe and secure environment to women at the workplace. The Ministry of Women and Child Development focuses “women living with dignity and contributing as equal partners towards the development of the country in an environment free from violence”. To ensure safety and security of women at all workplaces, “Ministry of Women & Child Development, Govt of India. “Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India” has empanelled Unique Welfare Foundation for conducting training & workshop under the act. Today, all workplaces in India are mandated by law to provide a safe and secure working environment free from sexual harassment for all women. The vision of the organization is to have empowered women living with dignity in an environment free from violence and discrimination and well-nurtured children with full opportunities for growth and development in a safe and protective environment. Therefore, as a nodal agency of the Govt. of India, the organization formulates various policies and schemes that promote the empowerment of women and ensure the safety and security. UWF aim is to equip the government, PSUs and Private companies employee with knowledge on the subject to prevent sexual harassment and develop in them professional competence for implementation of the statute i.e. the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act.
